Our Remedy Duo for Breakouts!

My skin never wants to play ball, some days its oily, the next it can so dry and dehydrated. Now I'll be the first to admit that I don't drink nearly enough water as I should but that doesn't account for the oiliness.

So when I do breakout, I like to use La Roche Posay's Effaclar Duo and Effaclar A.I., to target the spots and get rid of them for good. The Effaclar A.I. is the best spot treatment I have used. Unlike your usual spot treatments that are gel-like and sting to holy hell, this is a cream based treatment that isn't abrasive to the skin.

Then I apply the Effaclar Duo all over my face (however if you live in the US, Effaclar Duo is a targeted spot treatment so please don't put it all over you face!) and I feel that this helps to prevent any more spots appearing in the breakout. Now I wouldn't call the duo a cream, its more like a serum or a creamy gel texture. It's superlightweight though so isn't clogging your skin.

I like to use this duo in the morning before applying my make up as the Effaclar Duo mattefies my skin leaving a perfectly primed base for my foundation. Within a day or two, the breakout has cleared and my skin feels so much healthier!
