So we are a little late on the band wagon with this one but we only recently picked up the Marc Jacobs genius gel foundation. We have read such a variety of reviews of this foundation ranging from some people absolutely loving it to others just unable to tolerate it. This was an easy review for us from the get go as we both fell in love straight away!
As we are so pale finding the perfect colour match is often quite tricky but this colour could not be more suited, albeit slightly more on the yellowy side.The consistency is also lovely as it is not too thick but also not water like. This applies like a dream and our preferred way to apply this is with the sephora Pro Airbrush 55 or a beauty blender, with both helping to achieve a really natural finish.
Another thing we love about this foundation is that it is really buildable, working for any occasion. We picked this up in the shade 10 Ivory Light which is the lightest shade but impressively there are another 15 shades available. This is also a foundation that we have been drawn towards during the winter months as it provides a heavier coverage.
As far as we are aware this is only available to purchase in the US and we picked this up in Sephora which will set you back $48 which works out to be about £30. This does seem a little pricey but it is a fairly standard price for a high end foundation. So if you are looking for a new foundation or fancied testing this one out we would definitely recommend it!
